Day 20 - Improve Fast: Analyze Your last 5 Videos
Always a mystery all the numbers! I like watching them grow! When I started being serious about YT in December, my CTR was in the 1% area. Today, between 3.2 and 5.2%! That is saying something! The retention at 30 seconds in December averaged 35%. Today's average on the last 5 videos right at 50%, again the numbers are going in the right direction! The AVD was actually better in December than today's mini analysis! Like I said always a mystery! I don't mind looking at them, they are not my driving force! I want to increase my CTR for sure. That is getting my thumbnails and titles to align better. Practice. And I would like to increase the retention rate across my videos. Make videos more interesting throughout. With determination, grit and a desire to get better, it will happen. You all will be able to say, I knew her when. And I will reply, you helped be get here! On to Day 21. @Jenny Sharratt @Dr. Saundra Stancil @Cat PInegar @Eddi Pinegar

@Jenny Sharratt I am sad to hear you feel blocked on pressing record. I would love to help you any way I can. A lesson learned from Alexa, schedule the time to get it done. Make your schedule priority. I have held onto that for a few months now and it helped me with my consistency. Approach your work as a professional, not a perfect professional. Showing up is a professional thing to do. My goal for a while has been to film 2 long forms for my YT channel each week . Keep in mind my long form videos are only 5-7 minutes long. I think one of my super powers is, I am ok with flaws. I want to be better in each video of course. I am not looking to be perfect in the video I am doing. A standard of excellence yes, perfect no. I film on Monday and Thursday first thing in the morning. I film and walk away. I don't even review it! I only post one video per week. This is giving me a great buffer for when summer gets here and I am in play mode! I have videos scheduled out to June. I know some will be duds, but I will be consistent! (my main goal). Editing happens when most people watch TV, (in the evenings) My script writing happens a lot of times on Sunday late afternoons early evenings. My brain and heart feel the most refreshed then. I find I get bogged down on writing the first two lines of the description and actually getting a video uploaded! So, Jenny, I am in a different season of life than you are, my schedule is wide open since I am retired from punching a clock for work. As you figure out a schedule that works for you, be kind to yourself. If you only have one block of time to record, maybe try recording two videos then. the one thing now one mentions is how much time it takes to do this YT thing! there are some channels that only post a couple of times a month. I think it is the consistency over time that gets rewarded. I follow a fellow whose videos are awful compared to the standards we are learning here, but he has been doing them for over 2 years consistently. He has a few thousand subscribers. We started at the same time, I was not consistent for the first two years. I am in my third year, I am determined to be consistent if nothing else. Jenny you are early in your journey, make sure you are enjoying the ride. find time, I believe it is well worth it and You have a message that resonates with people. 💖

Ok, this time you had me cry when the b-roll showed up. @Cat PInegar I am honored you are asking my opinion. I would like to see you more in the video! Maybe during the teaching moments. And you have several! Let the breathing moments be in nature. I loved the timing of the breath out and the dandelion scene, crazy cool. At the end of this clip, I was happy to see you are using Capcut. That is what I use. You might use the animation feature on the b-rolls and fade them in and out. I like how that transitions b-roll on my talking head videos. It is you and your voice that people will be drawn to, the B-roll takes us somewhere. Make sure we don't get lost in the some where too long. Bring me back to you, cuz I would like to be friends! Any way that is how I feel about the video. It is good, just want more of you Cat!

@Cat PInegar If I can help in any way learning Capcut, please ask. the best way to learn something is to teach it! I have found!
DAY 30 — Creator Identity
Hard to believe we’re already here. Today wasn’t about strategy, thumbnails, or analytics… it was about identity. Who am I becoming through all of this? Over these 30 days, I can see the shift. Less overthinking. Less waiting for things to be perfect. More just showing up and doing the work. And I think that’s the real lesson today… You don’t become a creator by thinking about it — you become one by showing up, over and over again, until it starts to feel like who you are. I’m starting to feel that now. Not “trying to make videos”…Just being someone who does. There’s still a lot to learn, a lot to improve, but it feels different than Day 1. More grounded. More clear. More real. I’m going to take a little time this weekend and put together a full 30-day recap — really look back at what changed, what worked, and what I learned through all of this. Appreciate everyone who’s been on this journey together — it’s been fun watching all of us grow through it. Let’s keep going. @Cat PInegar @Dr. Saundra Stancil @Jenny Sharratt @Jaye Brunner @Dajana K.

Identity is that personal ride of unwinding old tapes, clearing space for new visions of who we are, then walking those visions out! @Eddi Pinegar I think we all started our YT journey's trying to make videos, moving to "I do YT", then on to, "I am building something", then for me my new version of me is "I am the founder of ..." boy that phrase, this identity of founder, is game changer in my commitment. I look forward to your full 30-day recap.
Day 19 - Community: Turning Comments into Connections
This right here, for me is the base line of doing YT. Building community around a common passion! Am I good at it, not YET! Is it coming, YES! Am I ready 😳, caution Jaye Brunner, do not look at the summit, look at your boots, one step at a time. Today it is about strengthening how you respond to people in the comment section. Oh, but I don't get many comments! Then starting will be that much easier! OK you are getting a glimpse of my internal thought process! Now that I know, I need to be mindful of the response to the comments I get. It is good to encourage comments in your videos! I am learning to do the ask in a more natural way, instead of pop up stickers and the hard ask at the end of my videos. I have this feeling, a knowing community is coming, this 30 day challenge is helping me prepare! Day 19 is a good day! @Jenny Sharratt @Dr. Saundra Stancil @Eddi Pinegar @Cat PInegar @Adam Tinkoff @Casey Hamlin @Ricardo Solomons @Monika Astara Murphy @Dajana K.

I am glad you asked that, all of my trusted advisors that are coming on this skool ride with me, my first 4 members, asked to keep it women only. a safe space for women to share, you know women things. Maybe hurts that men have caused, (rape, over bearing husbands and bosses), how to be married and have our husbands not feel demeaned because we are control freaks, How to be single yet honor our bodies as women, the list can go on and on. From my own experiences, my healing started when I developed trust in one other woman. My heart is for everyone to find the healing I have found, however, that healing for some need to start gender specific. That is why it is a closed group. My original intentions were to have it an open space, however I know this is going to be much bigger than what I can do on my own, so I asked some of my very valued women friends to join me on the ride. This is something I am doing together with friends, so I need to value their input. So just this morning I was prompted pretty strongly to I developing a Just Living Truth Mens community as well, I cannot be the admin for that group, so I am waiting on God to rise up, or make me aware of who that admin will be! My YT channel is going to be making a shift, more conversational, less preaching and teaching. I feel it will bring more women than men. I am not trying to exclude men from Jesus at all. I agree with you, if we lived in a perfect world there would be no separation and that separation is not right. We don't live in that world. @Casey Hamlin I am honored that you had the courage to ask me this question. I am not sure if I answered it well, it is where I am at and I answered as honest as I know how. Love you my friend.💖

@Casey Hamlin I apologize if I come across as ALL men are bad people, you are not! After much prayer yesterday and today, I am going to ask my husband to join me on this journey. Up until now, this has been my side kick thing I do. If he says yes, you being a co-administrator, I am going to start a Just Living Group Community open to anyone, with one perimeter, if you are offended by Jesus and His teachings, you may not feel welcome, but you are. If you pray, lift this up, if you do not, cross your fingers! The men's only group, if it happens will be down the road. Casey, it is this type of conversation that I love, makes me think, reconsider and sometimes shift my ways.

Thanks you @Michael LeJeune for the continued push to post that video! Last night, I just decided to look at my channel studio not expecting ANY activity! To my surprise--2 Subscribers😁! WHAAT🥹! Shock and the most pleasant way!💖 I received more than one suggestion to post my so called "30-second-supposed-to-be" video, which ended up being 1min46sec after heavy editing of 6min14sec. Such an encouragement to Just Post😃👏🏾! I am doing it and I am on it!!!
