Be Antonio, don't be Pradeep
Every word of this is true but I've changed the names. Three years ago when I first launched Copyskills, two copywriters joined our community. Pradeep joined first, Antonio joined some time later. Pradeep and Antonio both live in the Global South. And they both had significant challenges. All the common struggles Global South copywriters have. - English being their second language - Businesses not taking them seriously - Prospects expecting to pay them peanuts and get A-List results - Lack of confidence - Needing to level-up their average copywriting and master other essential business and marketing skills Pradeep and Antonio both had access to everything I offer in Copyskills. - Unlimited copy critiques - Coaching on how to run their business - Advanced marketing courses - Guest lectures from some of the smartest copywriters and marketers in the world - Support and community …And so much more. In fact, now that I think of it, Pradeep had a huge advantage over Antonio. Pradeep was already working with two of the biggest fitness influencers in the world. Antonio had some experience, but he was further behind. 7 months after joining Copyskills, Pradeep sends me this email: >> I've decided to cancel my CopySkills membership. In the 6 months since my last retainer got canceled, I've only managed to earn $3400. The problem isn't Copyskills, or even the profession (I love marketing/copywriting). It's just me. I'm not being consistent with marketing my biz. Haven't consistently tweeted, emailed or started a yt channel or even DM'd people. For now I've decided to get a job. This email made me very angry. So angry, in fact, Pradeep is banned from rejoining Copyskills or buying any of my products. Forever. He had 6 months to take advantage of the support and resources in Copyskills to get more clients. - He could have shown up every day asking for feedback and coaching, I did x, y happened, what should I do next? - He could have worked with me to come up with a compelling offer and cold outreach strategy - He could have asked his past clients for referrals - He could have reached out to 10 business owners a day, every day – that's 1800 over 6 months - He could have posted daily on one platform where his ideal client hangs out - He could have launched his own info product using the skills he already had

Got mail.... from Matthew the maverick Volkwyn Wonder how many of you got it, and read it It was a sizable google doc about his exact steps to go from 0 - 25k within few years I want to know how many of you are using that to chart your journey He speaks of 3 methods of client acquisition: Outreach Organic via Content Relation building Who's tried any or all of these, to a successful point? Where do you falter? Would help me too, to know your paths

[SOLD OUT] I got these two objections to Creative Strategy Academy from copywriters. I'll share them here, along with my responses. >> Yeah, but $3.5k is a stretch, especially in today’s economy. Unfortunately will have to pass. No one should spend money they don't have. But there's nothing stretchy about it. $3.5K for 3 months of hands-on coaching to become a Certified Creative Strategist is a fair exchange of value. They even have a 3-month payment plan. Junior creative strategists make $3K/month per client. Senior creative strategists make +$10K/month per client. You can close a client the first month that pays for your entire investment. You can close an internship and flip it into a paid role after 30 days that pays for your entire investment. What if it goes wrong? What if it goes right. Copy Chief and creator of Copy Squad, Kyle Milligan, chimed in too. >> They gotta see it's not an “expense.” If they see it that way, they simply aren't acknowledging or don't believe in the outcome. I.e. if you could buy a stock for $2.5k today and get $3k or $10k back in 3 months and on in perpetuity, 100% of the time you just say yes. Only reason not to is you don't know or don't believe that $10k is ever coming. Here's the second objection. >> I don’t think people will be very persuaded to buy $2500 product to get a $50 a month product for free. Try some other offer or just sell the creative strategy academy on its own merit. 2 people have already claimed the scholarship. But let me breakdown what you're getting. Coaching (asynchronous) - People have paid $2500 for lifetime access Courses (at previously sold prices) - List Boss - $1000 - Local Business Micro Agency - $1000 - Corporate Prospecting Blueprint - $1000 - Bionic Copywriter - $500 - Whale Bait Offers - $100 - Natural Networker - $50 - Mastering Bento - $50 - Freelancing MBA - $250 - 24-Hour Sales Page - $250 - Copy Compliance Clinic - $50 - Twitter Growth Playbook - not sold before - Business of Copywriting - $50 - Client Magnet Habits - $100 - Mindset Masterlass - not sold before - 1,536 Classic Ads - $7 to $30 per collection (21 collections) - Direct Response Ghostwriter - $300
