For context, I'm working on a charitable giving platform focusing on donor retention, engagement, and recognition. It's called OpenGive. Think of this as a membership experience and loyalty reward program for donors. 📳 My plan is to reach out to charities before I build the backend to: - Better understand their pains with these donor-related aspect (validate my research & learn more) - Get feedback from the end-user directly - Discover other pains OpenGive can solve for charities - Invite interested charities to join the waitlist 📹 I recorded a demo video that focuses on: - How OpenGive solves donor-related pain points - How this functionality looks like - What interested charities can do to help 🫂 I'd love to get feedback from this amazing community to help maximize the chances of this being productive and successful. 👋 Hi everyone! It was a busy week and I meant to do this sooner. My name is Alex and I'm just starting on my entrepreneurial journey. I don't want to just do business, I want to create positive impact in the world through the projects I create. I'm a firm believer that sharing is caring and that more entrepreneurs need to find ways to launch businesses with models that facilitate wealth creation and social impact at the same time. 🫂 My mission is to help facilitate people to do social good while being rewarded for their actions financially. What originally started as an idea that combined raffling and default charitable giving built on blockchain (bloxpot.io) has now transformed into a free-to-use charitable giving platform that helps charities to turn one-time donors into recurring subscribers by offering loyalty programs and rewards based on donor activity and engagement (still need a name). I'm a solo-founder for now and my plan is this: - Continue networking with like-minded, mission-driven individuals aiming to create scalable and sustainable positive impact in the world - Build a clickable mockup for the charitable giving platform to showcase the concept - Record a 2-3 minute demo video about how it helps charities and donors - Launch outreach to small-medium charities to present the idea, understand their challenges with converting one-time donors to recurring supporters, and get them on the waitlist - With enough feedback and, hopefully, a waitlist of interested users, I'm then considering getting funding to launch quickly - In the meantime, I will work on building a functional MVP, should I get enough positive feedback ------ A little bit about myself: - I always wanted to build a business of my own and never took action for various reasons. I'm finally doing something about it :) - My background is fairly diverse and I've worked in various roles, ranging from English tutoring to sales and account management in B2B SaaS products - I adore cats, I love playing tennis, try to exercise regularly, and can't stop thinking about creating real positive impact for the people of this planet
