Weekly Body Based Reflection - Tired of Working on Yourself
Sometimes we just get tired of doing the work! I know how it is. We are paying attention to so many things, our body, our mental health, food, supplements, exercise - it can get overwhelming. One thing to remember, that doing the work not only brings healing, it also makes habits. Doing the work for a year, instills it and by the end of a year, it is no longer overwhelming and becomes second nature - Research shows it takes 9-12 months to truly make a lifestyle change.

Weekly Body Based Reflection - Tired of Working on Yourself
Quick check-in from Pensacola
We’re down here for a little working vacation, soaking in some slower rhythms and fresh air. I snapped a picture of our campsite to share a piece of it with you ☀️ Just a gentle reminder… Health isn’t just about what you’re doing to “fix” your body. It is also about how you’re living your life. Getting outside.Letting your shoulders drop.Laughing more.Stepping out of urgency. These are signals of safety your body understands. You don’t have to wait until everything is perfect to live your life. Take a moment today—step outside, breathe deeper, and let your body feel that it’s okay to be here. 💛 Your health is built in moments like these

@Marmy Nelson Thanks, we try to set up like an extension of the trailer. It gives us much more room.
Food Friday - Eat Fiber
Basically we have 2 types of fiber, soluble and insoluble. One feeds good bacteria and the other absorbs water, both are necessary for a healthy gut! You can learn more about this in the Gut and Beyond Course Check it out!

@Nadya Gilliam This is a great question! Once your gut is healthy, your best option is healthy eating. However, when the gut is not healthy, fiber powders can actually cause bloating and discomfort for some people. The GI Replenish has fiber and is why we start very slowly, so your body has a chance to develop the enzymes and good bacteria to manage the fiber.

@Marmy Nelson Excellent observation, yes they have both soluble and insoluble fiber - very good for us!
Tongue scraping
I read it in Traveled Body Awareness -Tongue: examine your tongue, don’t brush or scrape it.- Why do not scrape?
1 like • 1d
Scraping the tongue disrupts the surface and takes away the signs that there are things going on in the body, good and bad. For example, if you have a thick white coating on the tongue upon waking = systemic candida overgrowth. If you have a crevice down the center it is overall malabsorption. If you have cracks across the tongue it is vitamin deficiency. Scraping the tongue disrupts this natural identification. Instead, get healthy and the tongue will look healthy.
Wellness Wednesday (a day late) - Walk after meals
Just a 10 minute walk after eating can make a huge difference in your health! It lowers your blood sugar (burns the sugar you ate), improves your digestion, and reduces inflammation! This is a simple way to improve your health without intense workouts.
