Hello
I am Roslyn or Roz, I am from Yorkshire, uk. My favourite food… aw don’t tempt me… it’s cake… anything creamy, chocolatey, spongy, gooey anything yummy. Ever since my hair turned grey I’ve liked pink. I am married to my lovely hubby Phil who has had to put up with my crochet art passion for years. I teach an easy unique crochet method using two latch hook tools, a rug hook and a double latch hook. Frequently just teaching chain and slip stitch. I love teaching my local crochet class every Saturday, I used to be a primary school teacher. Thank you for having me in the community, I am looking forward to popping by. @Stephanie Kara Totally agree with you It is ashamed that so many skills get lost because it is not taught any more. However it is nice to see some coming back (like tatting).

Humble with it too as you did not mention that you are the creator of the cordmaker. Nice to see you in that group.
A CREATIVE PICNIC
Some months ago, I was all excited to make a costume for Jane Austen's 200th birthday party, which my friend was hosting. Sadly, I didn't make it or the costume, due to this busy cottage life. However, today is a different story. I'm thrilled to be off on another adventure to a little country town called Harvey here in the Southwest of Australia, for another Historic event. I'll be borrowing an outfit for the day and will definitely be filming this for the YT channel so I can show you all. Below is a little pic of the Jane Austen Event and a little drawing made by the event hostess of a parlour maid party she held at Christmas. See you on the other side!

It is ashamed you live so far. I could have you mine as well as the petticoat. As we have a discovery festival every year I have my own costume. Someone just gave me old clippings of newspaper and that one was in it. The baby is 18 now, lol.
Welcome to a lovely lady!

Wishing you a peaceful Easter πŸ•ŠοΈ A time to create and reflect
Hi everyone, I wanted to take a moment to wish you all a very Happy Easter. For me, this is a beautiful time to pause and remember the greatest gift we were ever given in Jesusβ€”a season of hope, renewal, and deep gratitude. @Sharon Jones made a little easter message, which is a beautiful way to start your day. Beyond the celebrations, Easter always feels like a natural invitation to slow down. Our lives can get so busy, but I truly believe that when we intentionally carve out space to be still, we allow our hearts to hear what they’ve been needing. My encouragement for you this weekend:🫢 Take some time to move slowly. Whether it’s picking up your journal, starting a new project, or simply sitting in the quiet, I hope you find the space to create something that truly feeds your soul. There is such healing in the act of making. Let’s use this break to reconnect with our "why" and enjoy the gifts of creativity and peace. I'm off to dig out this old journal (see the video below) and spend some time creating within it's pages. I’d love to hear how you’re spending your intentional time this weekend. Are you working on a specific project or just enjoying the stillness? With love and blessings, Steph ✨

Goodnight from The Little Cottage - or is it Good Morning?
I haven't been able to be present here in Skool today - and now I must 'away' after a big day! I'm very pleased to say the big Declutter is done and dusted - it was A HUGE JOB that spanned over 3 days, and now I'm off for some much-needed rest. What is the time where you are and what are you up to at this very minute add a descriptive gif? I'll start first!
