- Oud Malaki had to get a full bottle after @Thomas Chavez hooked up a decant, seriously landa in my Top 10, this what Mr. Sam and Halfeti took their inspiration from. - Hawas London - inspired by Ex Nihilo Brompton Immortals, quick spray and yes it does remind me, I will do a side by side once Hawas gets some shelf time - Asad Elixir - this was a spontaneous buy at Burlington since it was right next to my dentist. Inspired by BBA, not a 1:1 clone but a good substitute if you like that DNA

Third Eye Fragrance - Moon Lotus just released
Hey all, Just dropping in to let you know @Will Southard just dropped his 4th release, Moon Lotus. Limited release today, restock shortly after in the coming days From the website: Luminous fruits, rich white florals, and glowing coastal woods. Moon Lotus opens with a radiant blend of mandarin, peach, lemon and pineapple — soft, golden, and quietly intoxicating, like a tropical breeze drifting over moonlit water. The heart of the fragrance is a narcotic mix of luxurious white florals - two different kinds of Ylang Ylang essential oil, Jasmine Sambac, Jasmine Grandiflorum, Neroli, Tuberose, Violet - and features the beautiful and alluring Blue Lotus, with real, authentic, rare and decadent Blue Lotus absolute. The base melts into a mix of creamy sandalwood, rich vanilla absolute, and a salty ambergris accord, leaving a beautiful lasting impression of sea breeze, ocean water and coastal shorelines. Blue lotus was revered in ancient Egypt, prized for its hypnotic, euphoric aura and its link to the divine. Often infused into ceremonial wines and sacred uses, it became a symbol of elevated desire, spiritual awakening, and transcendent beauty. We have tried to capture that aura for a fragrance that is incredibly unique and beautiful while also remaining unisex, accessible, and with good performance. Mysterious, glowing, and magnetic. A tropical, narcotic, moonlit walk by the sea. Fragrance Notes: - Top: Mandarin, Peach, Pineapple - Heart: Ylang Ylang, Jasmine, Blue Lotus - Base: Sandalwood, Vanilla, Ambergris https://www.thirdeyefragranceco.com/shop/p/moonlotus

Mind Games Opera Mate (1/3)
Right off the bat, I’m starting to lose interest in Mind Games. I’ve had a hot streak of disappointment. The fragrances smell good, but the performance has been pretty poor. This one is no different. The opening is a blend of grapefruit and chestnut. I couldn’t really pick up the labdanum. Within a few minutes it already sits very close to the skin, and that’s when I start getting the crème brûlée, davana, and caramel. If I really dig my nose into the skin, I can pick up a bit of suede as well. The drydown smells like a custardy, sweeter take on Boss Bottled Absolu. Performance is disappointing. It’s basically a skin scent from early on and lasts around 5 to 6 hours on me. Most Mind Games fragrances give me very similar performance and sillage, so this wasn’t a surprise. The scent profile itself is creative and different. Some people compare it to Amore Caffè, but to me it’s not even in the same ballpark. It could have been an excellent gourmand pick if the performance matched the scent. For me it’s an 8.5/10 for the smell and a 4/10 for the performance. I do wonder if it could be a sample issue, even though I ordered from three different decanters. Has anyone else experienced this with Mind Games?

I am a fan of Mind Games, but not all. I have 6 bottles that I really enjoy, currently not planning on anymore. I think it might be a sample thing or possibly in conjunction with skin issue. I found I had to go heavy with sprays with the samples to get a good idea, and when i get the bottle it is so much better, especially on clothes, but nothing nuclear. TBH I am happy to get a solid performing 4-5 hrs and anything more than that is just gravy

@Srinesh C m Skin chemistry makes a big diff. @Aditya Choksi and some others were at D'or in LA. He was telling me about Zaharodd Seraphim Blue smelling way different on him, so I put a spray on and he did to, his smelled a lot different than on me. On him he had a strong seaweed smell, and some other subtle differences. I didn't know MG and BR were from the same company, guess I need to go back and check out my more BR and save me some $🤣
SOTD: Torino21 by Xerjoff
A Confident Choice Torino21 opens with a bright, powdery citrus that immediately feels fresh and approachable—perfect for my open house situation. The initial spray is generous and confident without being offensive, striking that sweet spot between noticeable and versatile. As it settles around the 30-minute mark, the citrus mellows into a cleaner, decidedly masculine powder with subtle tartness that keeps things interesting. This middle phase is genuinely pleasant and wore the fragrance well throughout the event, giving me that quiet confidence boost I needed. By the two-hour mark, Torino21 becomes predominantly powdery and skin-close, which is fine indoors but shows its limitations. After five hours, it fades to barely-there whispers of powder. While longevity isn't its strongest suit, the journey there is solid. For situations where you want something sophisticated, inoffensive, and gently masculine, Torino21 delivers—just don't expect it to linger all day.

New Release Torino 25.
After waiting months for it to arrive at my local stores, I finally had the chance to test Torino 25 on skin, and the results were not what I expected. When I smelled it on paper and in the air last week, it seemed very promising; however, today’s skin test was a total disappointment. To my surprise, the fragrance actually triggered a migraine. The listed notes include rhubarb, grapefruit, ginger, and saffron at the top, followed by juniper, suede, and leather in the heart, with a base of amber, vetiver, and musk. Despite that profile, all I could detect was a sharp, "screechy" mix of saffron and suede/leather. While I can usually wear leather notes, this particular blend just isn't for me. I couldn't even get through a full breakdown because I had to wash it off to manage the migraine. I know some of you might really enjoy this one or may even consider it a masterpiece, but for me, at this point, it is a pass. I’ll give it one more try eventually just to ensure I wasn't already in the middle of a flare-up, but after the disappointment of T23, I’ve decided I won't buy this just for the sake of completing the collection.
