Since I've been a Slacker, I'll Grant Steve his wish
Steve you asked for a picture of my 'big red truck' and I've been flitting around and forgot! Honesty is the best!! I've been gone 8 days now and on the plane back from a truck charity in NV and seeing my direct customers in Cali! Now back to West Memphis to finish my truck prep to be inside on display at MATS. I park this Sunday so I'll be there all week! Anyone there hit me up! Thanksss to you all for all your support and education I receive from you! Most think I am 'just' a truck driver, and I am! But I actually have our small fleet of reefers and drivers and my own direct freight. So all the fun stuff on the other side I'm knee deep into as well! I've had to brush off my broker degree from 10 years ago. Just call me little Ms Diversified and Nosey to get my hands into it all. Each of you bring knowledge to me everyday and help me to continue to grow .. I just wanted to say THANK YOU!!! Again if you're at MATS next week give me a shout through a dm on LinkedIn preferably! Steve your a rock star for creating this community for us all!!

Freight Skool Activity
Since our goal is to create an Active Community of Professionals that help each other Educate and Inform about important topics regarding Freight Transportation Logistics it is time once again to purge our membership. We will be eliminating memberships of those that don’t show activity in the group. It’s better to have a small group of members who are active and share value or get value from Freight Skool than have a bunch of members who only enter to see what they can get. I want to thank everyone who have become members of Freight Skool and continue to participate in our community. If you have not been on in a while this email is a nudge to get you back in. On Tuesday March 31 all accounts with no activity over the last 30 days will be purged (churned) from the group. So get on and get active. We hope to see you post or comment in the near future. Thank you everyone for making the Freight Skool community the #1 Freight Logistics community on the Skool Platform!

Fuel is limited at truck stops?
Has any dispatchers recently getting feedback from the driver and carriers about getting fuel at the pumps and it’s a minimum or it limited them to get a full tank?

Haven't seen or heard of anywhere coast to coast on my route or my guys that there's even mention of such. Haven't even seen it on social medias so we know it can't be true 😂
Cargo Van Class excerpt on Dispatchers
A Dispatcher works for you. Not the other way around. Remember this. In recent years Online “Dispatch” companies (Many of them located overseas) have made their way into the Freight Transportation landscape. They perform all the functions that a Freight Brokerage does, like find you cargo van Freight, but they have none of the legal requirements of a Freight Brokerage. This has led to an epidemic of fraud, primarily where the dispatcher gives you a load, you haul the load, the dispatcher collects the money on your behalf (illegal) but then never pays you. You see this story play out over and over, it primarily happens to those new to the business. Wanting to get loads so bad starting out that they sign on with a dispatcher service ( Because the freight brokers won’t onboard them being their authority is new) and then the dispatch service never pays you for your service. Remember Freight Brokers have to, by law, carry a $75,000 surety bond. So if you are signed on with a Broker, you haul that load, you will get paid because you have a broker bond to file against to get your money from them. But dispatchers have no bond, no laws or regulations requiring them to pay you. Why? because legally they work for you. Learn more about dispatchers in our Cargo Van Freight Class.

I struggle even seeing dispatch services operate!! BIG TIME! I feel they either need to be shut down or there needs to be new formation by FMCSA that they're required to carry a bond equal to brokerage and operate under limited authority and must be US Domiciled!! As I believe all brokerage agents should be US Domiciled! We want to make trucking in America great again then it needs to start by brining it bank exclusively too America AGAIN! Just my two cents worth!! Keep the change😉🫣😃 Happy Blessed Easter Steve, and to all!! Enough if this taking resources away from our own people and farming it out for pennies for overseas to make millions.
FMCSA article regarding authority.
Hey Everyone, What are your thoughts on the article published by the FMCSA on Friday regarding the buying or leasing of mature authority? I’ve always been curious about how that process actually works, and it’s also been a concern of mine that someone could potentially use an authority without the owner’s knowledge. I’d be interested in hearing everyone’s perspective on this.

You can't confuse the term LEASE with what every mega with lease purchase offerd and 60% of other carriers do as letting an owner operator lease onto their company to use their MC. And also the lease purchase that also leases their company's MC number to operate. I think there's alot of confusion for most that haven't been in the industry the last 6-8 years that there are differences. And aren't illegal. There are still trip leases that are also legit so I believe clarification coming from FMCSA would be a good thing! Great thing to address for my next trip in a couple of weeks 😉
