Hands on Arabic
I figured I'd take Tony's concept for hands on Spanish and apply it to Levantine arabic. I started cutting out some cards with a few questions. Here is "when do you go to work? I'll probably do this for the 20 opi questions. I included the English pronunciation on the front of the cards until I get better at reading arabic.

I finished the cards and I have 3 verbs to go with it, I like to read, etc., I have to read etc., and I want to read, etc. And have several things to choose from for the verbs. Another change I've learned is Levantine omits the an that msa uses between verbs. They also make the qaf a glottal stop a lot of times.

@Christopher Lewis I chose Levantine because it is supposed to be the most common dialect in my state (Michigan). Egyptian is second, but I think Egyptian the most common in the US. Apparently, the biggest number of Egyptian speakers are in Texas. Lebanese immigrants have been coming to Michigan since the 1870-80s. That’s amazing to me. 150 years. I think our culture thinks Arabs being in the US is a modern thing, but it is not. Dearborn, MI is primarily Egyptian dialect from what I’ve looked up. Otherwise, Levantine is the most common.
My Egyptian Friend in NYC Says Hello!
While practicing some Arabic street interactions, my new friend says مرحبا (Mar7aba) to @Jack Mason and @Christopher Lewis, and everyone in the Skool Community (or doesn't). I said 'Zack' instead of 'Jack' because in my mind it was conflated with 'Izzayak?' -- Egyptian Dialect for 'How are you?' -- Sorry Zack, I mean Jack. A testament to how the mind does weird things in the heat of Real Life language interaction.

@Tony Marsh it's like trying to find the waiter or cashier who likes to engage in small talk. I think that's how you find the 7th person. I bet local coffee type shops are good because those are more known for a casual conversation atmosphere provided they're not busy. At least where I'm from
Un video de mi pueblo parte 2
Hice un otro video durante mi paseo. Hay muchos errores pero es bueno. Necesito practicar más el hablar espontáneo. Estoy contemplando mi pueblo y el lago de Michigan.

@Patricia Lines sí. Me encanta. Ojalá el invierno no fuera tan largo.
Reverse OPI
Student versus professor - it’s a reverse OPI, never been attempted before, very dangerous, please do not try this at home

OPI military grade
Ok, I don’t think anybody else could have completed this military grade OPI - apart from Tony that is, (and maybe the rest of the class) I’m thinking 100% pass Tony but don’t let me influence your marking 😇

Muy bien. Excelente respuestas @Steve Washington ! Me gusta las preguntas en tu computadora. ¿Cuál es tu equipo de fútbol favorito? En inglaterra me gusta Manchester United. En México me gusta Cruz Azul (gooooaaaaal la Maquina! 🤣) y en Estados Unidos me gusta Columbus Crew.
