Hi everyone,
I'm an intermediate guitarist, also known as Swannie. I'm all about emotional, storytelling-song driven music with a slightly offbeat, raw feel. I also write and release my own music - my song "From Country to Country" is on YouTube if you'd like to check it out. Exited to be here, learn, and connect with you all!!

Hi everyone! Iโ€™ve been playing guitar for quite a long time, writing and performing my own songs, but I still havenโ€™t learned music theory yet :) Recently, I started exploring the open D tuning.Glad to be part of the community. Wishing everyone success!

@Kirill Gura hey Kirill....I finally found the time to check it out. I was kind of expecting something completely different since you asked about the open D tuning here. While I obviously didn't understand much I still enjoyed it. And it was quite different styles and sounded very well produced. Very cool! What DAW and Equipment do you use?
Hello Jooba people!
My name is Reo and Iโ€™m based in London, though I travel back and forth between Japan and the UK a lot for work. I only started playing three weeks ago (so very absolute beginner here), just strumming and learning basic chords off YouTube. I want to be a singer-songwriter, so what I want to get out of this community is the ability to improvise freely from existing chord patterns/songs, rather than just playing them exactly as written. So i'm very keen to learn necessary music theory, get inspiration from the creative folks here, and perhaps take monthly 1-1 lessons with Jaco to get to know the instrument and music more deeply. My favourite artists include Paramore, Laura Marling, Johnny Flynn, Avril Lavigne, Moby, and The Cranberries (to name just a few!). Paramore, Laura Marling, Avril Lavigne definitely have a special place in my heart as I grew up with their music - theyโ€™ve been there for every stage of my life. This community and all the materials here look really really cool, so very excited to be here! Cheers

I love this lick. Just retuning the guitar has kept me from learning it - maybe this is the sign I needed to do it this time ๐Ÿ˜Š
Hello from LA!
Whatโ€™s up everyone, just introducing myself. Iโ€™m Ryan, Iโ€™ve been a pianist for most of my life, but always been curious about the guitar. About a year ago, a few friends started getting together every month to play folk music, and that inspired me to finally pick up the guitar so I could join. Some of my favorite artists are City and Color, Sleeping at Last, and Gregory Alan Isakov. Hope to have something to post soon :)

Hey Ryan ๐Ÿ‘‹ What things do you like playing on the piano. And how well does your theory knowledge and piano skills translate into your guitar journey? I am curious to hear that since I am thinking about doing it the opposite direction - I have played guitar for a while now and am thinking about practicing piano a bit more.
