If you want to stand out, start thinking in terms of ownership, not tasks. Instead of: “Tell me what to do next” Shift to: “I noticed X could be improved, want me to handle it?” Clients don’t just pay for execution they pay for thinking. That’s where your rates start going up.

100% this. and the easiest way to start thinking in ownership mode is to actually audit your client's workflow before they ask you to. I do a mini review every month just look at what's taking too long, what's being done manually that could be automated, and bring it to them as a suggestion. clients don't expect that and it instantly positions you differently. that's how I went from task executor to the person they actually rely on

ChatGPT vs Claude — which do you actually use more for client work?

I use both but for completely different things — ChatGPT for quick research, brainstorming, and anything where I need fast ideas. Claude for anything that needs to actually sound human — long-form writing, email drafts, client-facing docs. tried using just one for everything and the quality dropped noticeably. curious what setups other people are running and whether anyone's found a better way to split the workflow
