What I learned from 10 minutes in Freezing Water today...
Had a powerful Cold Plunge session with the Impossible Performance Community today. It started out like any normal session... I approached the water, felt the fear, sat with it, and told myself a different story. "I am Strong enough to conquer this, I control this situation, my body is built to thrive in this challenge..." And I got in. It started out totally normal, but as time progressed, I found myself investing more heavily in this narrative, internalizing it, and giving myself full permission to believe it's Truth... 3 minutes passed and my alarm went off...I turned it off. 5 minutes hit and I felt the urge to get out, but that Story pulled me back. "I can go double this time." It said. 6 minutes came, then 7, then 8, and suddenly it became less about proving a point, and more about living fully in an Impossible Moment. A Moment in Life where I was Strong, I was in Control, and my body THRIVED in that Challenge. I actually did 11:39, only getting out when that Story became fully internalized... And it set the Tone of the entire rest of my day. ❤️🔥
