IK MTM with Sub, Equator Audio D5, M-Audio SP-5B, Bottlehead Straight 8 (diy), a pair of bookshelf speakers (diy) made decades ago that I recall sounded really good. A few pairs of Radioshack speakers that I haven't listened to in years. Probably should break them out of storage. I like them all. All good songs / good mixes sound good on all of them with respect to getting the point across. The message of music. IOW, if it doesn't sound good on all of them, it's not the speaker the song was made on.
REAPER 8 is looking sweet!!!

Powerful questions to study any plugin
When I started my exciting journey of reviewing 2 plugins per week, I found so far that all plugins can be divided into these categories: Inside cube vs. outside cube What does this plugin do to the elements in the mixing cube? Or what does it do to the whole cube? Transparent vs. Non-Transparent (color) What does this plugin do to the sound fixing it (transparent) or decorating it (colored)?

@Luiza Milenova The problem is some, many, most will do both things. They can be transparent or colorful based on how they are used. Same piece of gear, different settings, different results.
Plugin links
Post links in this thread about any plugin recommendations, free plugins or plugin discounts.

@Jamie Taylor It's not like a lot of these plugs are bad. But ffs, let's say you wanted to build a simple and I mean simple stereo hardware setup. You are looking at $10,000. What happens next. You still suck, you dive in, you get some good sounds. Ok, you have a stereo setup. Now you buy $10K of plugs and have no idea how to make them sound and be used like hardware. You have 124 channels of something that you don't understand. I would - hope - that someone gets some free, cheap, or expensive plug and actually digs in and makes some new music. Something no one has ever heard. Either enhance something, break something, but no one wants to hear the same thing and the hardware / software always takes 2nd seat to the talent. ( ok, it used to and should )

@Terry Wellman Are you talking about Matt Bissionette? There are videos on YT that he tells you what he does. When I took a quick listen it reminded me of John Lennon's ADT vocals. But MB says he sings them all. He does mention the Beatles though WRT composition and arrangement. But that song aside from the backings I hear or thought I heard lead doubles with a chorus. Lots of good info in these https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1FqmPrsHHk This one he spells it out. Apparently he does 3 melody tracks by default. Then adds harmony. What I thought was chorus I now believe that is what he calls the solo churchy parts that get blended on top. Which kinda sounds like a high passed chorus. Very cool. I think that is what I was hearing in the Imit. Suede song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72FdWXCvUWo
