Love & Lyrics National Poetry Month Challenge – What To Expect April is National Poetry Month and Love & Lyrics is inviting you to show up, stretch your pen, and let your voice be heard. Each day we will post a new writing prompt designed to challenge your creativity, encourage growth, and celebrate the many ways poetry speaks through us. Here’s how it will work: • A series of new prompt will be posted daily • All styles are welcome, unless stated otherwise (spoken word, page poetry, haiku, free verse, storytelling, etc.) • You may write as much or as little as the prompt inspires • You do not have to participate every day, just show up when you can • Respect the space and each other. This is a creative community, not a competition How to participate: • Write to what’s inspired by the daily prompts • Post your piece in the group or designated space • Title your piece if possible • Please support other writers through positive engagement What to expect from the prompts: You can expect themes around: Growth Healing Truth telling Love in all its forms Social awareness Fun creative challenges And a few surprises along the way Some prompts may stretch you. Some may feel personal. Some may simply let you play with words again. The goal is not perfection. The goal is participation. Most importantly: Write honestly. Write boldly. Write anyway.
