👋 Welcome to TradBowhunter - Ethical Predator
If you’re here, it’s because you believe something most people don’t: How you hunt matters. Not just the result - the process. This community is for traditional bowhunters who value: - Ethics over shortcuts - Discipline over gear - Process over outcome - Tradition as something you live, not just talk about You don’t have to prove anything here. You just have to respect the craft. My name is Jenn Richardson, my husband, Grant Richardson and I created this group, TradBowhunter - Ethical Predator. This is a passion piece for Grant and I...My hubby, the subject matter expert with Traditional Bowhunting as well as an author, podcast host and 3rd generation traditional bowhunter. We wanted to bring like minded people together and create a place to share their experiences with traditional bowhunting. 🧭 HOW THIS COMMUNITY WORKS (IMPORTANT) There are two valid paths here - both are respected. 🟢 Free Members Some bowhunters: - Learn quietly - Practice when they can - Improve steadily over time That path is welcome here. 🔥 Premium Members (Optional) Others want: - Structure - A repeatable shot process - Coaching instead of guessing Premium exists for clarity and progression, not status. 👉 You never need Premium to belong. Short posts are perfect. 2️⃣ Start in the Classroom Go to the Classroom and begin with: 👉 Start Here This will save you months of trial and error. 3️⃣ Engage Once This Week You don’t need to post every day. Easter Fun Shoot
My wife and I along with a handful of volunteers hosted an Easter Fun Shoot at our local club today. 45 people participated. What was very interesting was all but 7 were new to archery. Very exciting to see new faces enjoying the sport for the first time. I had to dive into the clubs new bow and arrow stache to make sure everyone had equipment for the day. I know, good problem to have. What I also liked was just how many people wanted to shoot the trad bows over the Genesis compounds. We have a variety of recurves from 18-45lbs draw weight. In both left and right hand. I’ve worked hard to get our equipment modernized and see more and more wanting to shoot the recurves. Warms my heart. We even had a couple of our regulars who shoot compounds try and really enjoy traditional bows. Win win for all of us. Lots of smiles, lots of laughs and many memories were made today.
