Boredom in recovery
The hidden trigger nobody talks about A lot of people relapse not because they want to use—but because they’re bored, restless, and don’t know what to do with themselves. When the chaos is gone, the silence can feel uncomfortable. When do you feel boredom the most in your recovery?” What healthy habits or routines helped you fill that gap? Do you think boredom is dangerous in recovery? Why or why not?

Romanticizing the Past vs. Remembering the Truth
A lot of people in recovery struggle with this without even realizing it. The mind starts replaying the “good times” of using—but conveniently leaves out the chaos, pain, and consequences. Have you ever caught yourself only remembering the ‘good’ parts of using? What’s the reality you have to remind yourself of to stay grounded? What’s one truth about your past that keeps you sober today? What’s did using actually cost you? (Relationships, money, respect, freedom) What’s better in your life now that you didn’t have before?

What are you building in its place? What parts of your old identity are you trying to leave behind? What new traits or habits are you proud of today? Do you ever feel like you don’t know who you are yet? Talk to the community and let us know.

The struggle is real
Let’s be real… What do you do on the days you don’t feel like staying clean? Not when you’re motivated. Not when things are going good. I’m talking about the days you’re tired, angry, bored, or over it. What actually keeps you from going back?

The Lie Addiction Told Me vs. The Truth I Live Now
Addiction had a voice. It told us things that felt real at the time. “I need this to function.” “I’m not hurting anyone but myself.” “I’ll quit tomorrow.” But recovery gave us a new voice—the truth. What’s one lie addiction told you… and what truth have you replaced it with today?
