ATTN Flow Club Members: New Skills & Drills Drop!
Hey FLOW Club crew! I've just dropped another installment of the Skills & Drills Series :-) This is one of my favorite techniques: The Tac Flam - we learn to put it to use with the Tac Flam Rolls exercise (which doubles as a really nice flow itself!) These are awesome for keeping the tac / slap sound consistent in your music while you flow through your notes. Most of the time we have to take out the note to put in the tac, reducing melodic movement, but not anymore with the tac flam! This opens us up to lots of cool fills and melody options without losing out on the percussive side of things + can be used as a really fun section in any compositions you're creating. It's available now in the "Skills & Drills" section of the "Classroom" tab - check it out and let me know what you think! I look forward to hearing what you create with it! If you're not in FLOW Club yet, you can join by heading to the "Skills & Drills" section and clicking on it - you'll be prompted to join the membership - once you do you'll get access to all the previous Skills & Drills videos as well as the Groove of the Month Series and Handpan Basics course - see you in there!

Hi there, I'm Marc. I first saw a Handpan in 2003 in Paris played by a guy with locks...loved it immediately but...wasn't able to afford one at this time and it started to become complicated with PanArt letter policy and waiting list. I was living above for 15 years, travelling from one country to another and forgot a bit the instrument... I'm now playing everyday since November 2022, without real organisation in my playing, but started last month a 2 hours per day playing planning that I'm now structuring...😅 I live in Marseille, France, don't work anymore, I will stay an amateur player, and the 5 players I love the most are Kabeçao (I did a 6 days residence with him last year), Mar Loi (I go to a 5 days residence with her in 2 weeks), Laurent Sureau, Quentin Kayser and Alexandre Lora. On the attached picture I have Kabé's Yishama "Astronaut" on my lap.... 🙏 All the best to you all. Marc
