👋 Welcome to Self Publishing for Leaders — Start Here First!
You're in the right place. Publishing a book as a thought leader is one of the most powerful things you can do for your business and your legacy. It positions you as the authority in your space, opens doors to speaking engagements, media features, and high-value clients, and creates something that outlasts any single conversation or social media post. Whether your book has been living in your head for years or you're just beginning to put the pieces together, this community was built for you. Self Publishing for Leaders exists for one reason: to help thought leaders like you stop saying 'someday' and start saying 'published'. This is a community space for professionals, coaches, consultants, speakers, and experts who are ready to share their knowledge with the world through a book — and use that book to build authority, attract clients, and leave a lasting legacy. Here's How it Works: Step 1: Introduce Yourself. Head over to the Introduce Yourself category and tell us who you are, what you do, and what your book is about — or what you want it to be about. Take a picture of yourself at your workspace, with your book or your favorite book (pets at workspaces are also welcome!) Don't be shy: this community is judgment-free. Step 2: Check the Calendar at the top of our community and make sure to add our two FREE community engagements: Group Coaching Workshops on the third Tuesday of the month and our Coffee Chats on the second Thursdays of the month. There's a convenient calendar download for each event! Come to as many as you like, and make sure to invite a friend! Step 3: Invite other Skoolers you know to join the group using your invite link. The more people join, the more people there are to promote to! Step 4: Explore the Categories. Browse the community categories to find the conversations most relevant to your current journey stage. Jump in, ask questions, and share what you know.

🎉 Welcome to Wins & Celebrations — This Is Your Spotlight!
In most spaces, people only share their highlight reel — the big launch, the bestseller badge, the five-star review. Here, we do things differently. Every win counts. Every single one. Wrote your first paragraph? That's a win. Finally decided on your book title? That's a win. Finished a chapter, hired an editor, hit publish, got your first review, landed a speaking gig because of your book? These are ALL wins. We want to hear every single one of them! Here's why this matters: the publishing journey can feel long and lonely if you're only measuring progress by the finish line. But the truth is, every small step forward is proof that your book is becoming real — and that deserves to be celebrated. So here's your first post prompt: Drop your win below — no matter how big or small. Copy and paste this prompt and fill in your information: 🏆 My Win: 📖 Where I am in my journey: (Your current level — Book Concept through Published Author) 💡 What it took to get here: 🙌 Who I want to thank or shout out:

🎯 Accountability & Goals
Let's be honest... Most people (90%) who want to write a book never do. Not because they aren't smart enough, talented enough, or don't have something worth saying. But because without a deadline, a plan, and someone watching, it's too easy to let it slide. That stops here. This category exists for one purpose: follow through. Whether you need a check-in, want to publicly declare a goal, or are looking for an accountability partner who is on the same journey, this is your space. Use it often and use it shamelessly! The members who post here consistently are the ones who finish their books. Here's how to use this category: 📌 Set a Goal — Post your current writing or publishing goal with a deadline attached. Vague goals don't get done. Specific ones do. 📌 Check In Weekly — Come back and report your progress every week. Hit your goal? Celebrate it in Wins & Celebrations. Missed it? Tell us what happened and reset. No shame, just forward movement. 📌 Find an Accountability Partner — Looking for someone to check in with regularly? Post here and find a fellow member who is at a similar stage. Two people committed to the same goal are twice as likely to follow through. 📌 Ask for a Deadline — Sometimes you just need someone to hold you to it. Post your goal and ask the community to check in on you by a specific date. We will show up for you. Start here. Copy and paste this goal-setting prompt: 🎯 My Current Goal: 📅 My Deadline: 📖 My Current Level: (Book Concept through Published Author) 🚧 My Biggest Obstacle Right Now: 🙋 What I Need From This Community: (Accountability check-in, encouragement, feedback, accountability partner, etc.) Post your goal below and let this community become the accountability system that finally gets your book written, published, and out into the world. 📖 Declare it here. We'll hold you to it. 🦫 Lynn
