I got it all wrong...
When I joined Skool, I wanted to learn AI for my business. I fell in love with @Brenda Rigney's openness and enthusiasm in the AI Summit community. It inspired me start my own community with the intention of making money.... And then Goose and Calvin came along and tossed those concepts out the window. Skool is a place to find your people, your tribe and yes, eventually make money. But first - give! And make friends. So, I am going to make some changes to what and how my community works - starting with a name change and new mission. Anyone else feel like the way they started needs to evolve after these session?

My Aligned Leadership Archetype
Fun quiz to take. I feel like I honestly don’t know the answers to a lot of the questions and just kinda picked. Anyway my result is Transformational Luminary I did take the fact that I “guide people to clarity” as a nod that I’m on the right track in doing Clarity Sessions. It mentioned people feeling my leadership and alignment being the first priority. So when it comes to visibility I take it to mean showing up on the platforms that excite me and not necessarily the ones I believe I need to be on but don’t bring much joy. I also suppose it means that consistency is more about energetic frequency than time frequency.
One mistake that quietly kills community growth…
Forgetting what it feels like to be new. As owners, we get comfortable. We know where everything is. We know the language. We know the next steps. But new members? They’re walking into the unknown. 👉 They don’t know where to start 👉 They don’t know what’s important 👉 They don’t know if they even belong yet And here’s the shift most people miss: People don’t stay because your community has value. They stay because they can find and feel that value quickly. That only happens when you start seeing your community through their eyes. A few simple ways to do that: - Make it painfully obvious where to start - Repeat key information often (more than you think you need to) - Personally welcome and acknowledge new members - Simplify navigation and next steps - Remove any “insider language” that creates confusion If new people feel lost… they leave quietly. If they feel guided… they stay and engage. Build for the person who just walked in—not the one who’s been there for months.
