Motivation is cheap. Execution changes your life.
I see too many operators waiting to “feel” like doing the work. They wait for the perfect morning, the perfect team, or the perfect market conditions to finally start scaling. Let me tell you a hard truth: The perfect time is a lie told by people who are afraid to fail. When I was building Action Plumbing from a single van to a $100M empire, there were plenty of mornings the alarm went off at 4:00 AM and I didn’t want to get up. My body was tired. The stress was heavy. But I didn’t negotiate with myself. Discipline isn’t about being a robot. It’s about having a WHY that is bigger than your comfort. I don’t put in the work just to hit a revenue target. I put in the work to be the man my family deserves. I put in the work to be the leader my team needs. I put in the work because God didn’t give me this vision just to play it safe. If you are soft on yourself, your team will be soft. If you let standards slip in your own life, they will slip in your business. Iron sharpens iron. Stop waiting for motivation. Set your non-negotiables and execute them every single day. What is the one non-negotiable you are committing to today?
Motivation is cheap. Execution changes your life.
Stop Babysitting and Start Building Leaders
One toxic employee can cost more than they produce. But a weak leader? A weak leader will cost you the entire company. I talk to operators all the time who are exhausted. They’re working 80-hour weeks, their phones won’t stop ringing, and they’re making every single decision for their team. They think they have a scaling problem. They don’t. They have a leadership problem. If your business falls apart the second you step away, you haven’t built a business — you’ve built a high-paying prison. When I was scaling Action Plumbing, I realized something hard: I couldn’t be the man in the van forever. If I wanted to grow, I had to stop doing the work and start developing the people who do the work. You don’t build a $100M empire by micromanaging dispatch. You build it by raising the standard. You build it by finding people with grit, holding them accountable, and giving them the tools to lead. Leadership isn’t about being the loudest guy in the room. It’s about serving your team. It’s about setting non-negotiables and living them out every single day. Iron sharpens iron. If you are soft, your team will be soft. If you are disciplined, your team will execute. Stop complaining about your employees and start looking in the mirror. Are you developing leaders, or are you just creating followers who need you to hold their hand? `#leadership #bluecollar #entrepreneurmindset #businessgrowth #homeservices #plumbingbusiness`
