Welcome to the club none of us asked to join.
This is a space for anyone touched by breast cancer - just been diagnosed, going through it now, survivors (and friends & family) - the choices, the surgeries, the scars, the chemo, the hot flushes (flashes for our US sisters).
There are courses on each step of the journey, written by someone who has been through it, to help you get through it too!
My name is Carolyn and in 2013 I got the news that none of us expects - you have cancer. I had a mastectomy with an immediate diep flap reconstruction. I know the fear, the pain, the weird hospital gowns, the drains (oh god, the drains!) the body changes, and most importantly - the moment you realise you’re stronger than you ever imagined you would need to be.
This is not a pity party. It’s a power circle.
Share honestly. Laugh loudly. Support fiercely.
Scars welcome. Humour encouraged. Attitude required.
Because cancer picked the wrong women. 💪
