How to Start a Virtual Assistant Business from Home as a Mom
I know how heavy it can feel when you want to make money, contribute, build something of your own… but you also don’t want to miss these years with your kids. That pull? It’s real. And you’re not wrong for wanting both. Starting a virtual assistant business from home was the first time I felt like I didn’t have to choose between being present as a mom and having something that was mine too. So if this is on your heart, let me help you feel a little less overwhelmed. 1ļøāƒ£ Start with your real life not some perfect schedule This isn’t about working 8-hour days, its about asking yourself when do I actually have pockets of time? Naps, school hours, evenings… start there. Build around your life as a mom, not the other way around. 2ļøāƒ£ You already have skills that people will pay for You don’t need to go learn a whole new career. Think about what you already do: - keeping things organized - managing schedules - replying to messages - handling a million moving pieces at once - other past job experience That is valuable. That’s literally what a lot of business owners need help with. 3ļøāƒ£ Keep your services simple at the start You don’t need to offer everything. Pick 1–3 things like: - admin support - email or calendar management - basic social media posting You can grow into more later. Right now, simple = powerful. 4ļøāƒ£ Don’t overcomplicate your setup You don’t need a full business built out before you begin. No website. No branding spiral. You just need: āœ” a clear idea of what you offer āœ” a way to talk to people āœ” a simple way to get paid That’s enough to get your first client. 5ļøāƒ£ Let people know what you’re doing This is the part that feels uncomfortable… but it’s also the part that changes everything. You can keep it simple: ā€œI’m starting a virtual assistant business and offering help with ___ā€ That’s it. That’s how it starts. Everything you need is in our Laying Your Foundation Classroom

šŸ”„ Hot take: You don’t need another course.
I know that might sound a little bold…but hear me out. If you’ve been trying to start an online business or figure out how to make money from home, chances are you’ve already learned a LOT. You’ve watched the trainings. Maybe even joined a few programs. Saved all the tips. And yet… you’re still feeling stuck. Not because you’re not capable. But because you’ve been given too much information… and not enough real direction. Somewhere along the way, building a business, especially becoming a virtual assistant or offering services online, turned into this long list of things you ā€œneedā€ before you can begin. More courses. More strategies. More learning. But what you actually need is way simpler than that. You need: - a clear starting point - a simple plan you can follow - and steps that help you get your first client (not just ā€œprepareā€ for one) That’s it. That’s why in this space, I don’t focus on giving you more and more information. I focus on helping you: šŸ‘‰ start your online business without overwhelm šŸ‘‰ take action quickly šŸ‘‰ and actually land clients (not just learn how to someday) Because you don’t need to be an expert to start. You just need to start… in a way that makes sense for your life. And if you’ve been sitting there thinkingā€œmaybe I just need one more courseā€¦ā€ This is your sign that you don’t šŸ¤ Tell me, what’s something you’ve learned about starting an online business that actually just made things more confusing for you?

Why does everything in online business feel so unnecessarily complicated?
I swear… every time I open my email lately it’s... ā€œjoin this webinarā€ ā€œwatch this 2-hour trainingā€ ā€œlearn this 10-step system before you can even startā€ And I’m just sitting here like…who actually has time for this?? Especially if you’re a mom, working, juggling life, trying to figure out how to make money from home without burning yourself out before you even begin. Somewhere along the way, starting an online business got so overcomplicated. Like you need 5 courses, a full brand, a strategy for your strategy… just to land your first client. And it’s just not true. You don’t need more information. You don’t need another long training. And you definitely don’t need to spend thousands of dollars to figure out how to get started. What you actually need is: - a simple plan - real, clear steps - and support that doesn’t feel overwhelming That’s honestly why I built this space the way I did. Short, straight-to-the-point trainings. Done-for-you templates you can actually use right away. And a way to start a virtual assistant business (or any online service) without feeling like you need to ā€œlearn everythingā€ first. Because you don’t. You just need to start… in a way that actually fits your life. So if you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like this whole work-from-home / online business world just isn’t made for real life… It’s not you. It’s the way it’s being taught. And we’re doing it differently here šŸ¤Ž Tell me honestly, what’s the most overwhelming part for you right now when it comes to starting or growing an online business?
