Most TOTAL POINTS in a MONTH!
Big shout out to all who participated with posts, comments, LIKES and shares in our KICKING SKOOL! As you can see from the Leaderboard, we had over 110 points earned throughout the month! Most of any month since K-SKOOL started. Give yourselves a hand 🖐️! Instead of awarding an individual prize to @Ellis Wangelin our top point getter, (Ellis already has more than his fair share of Kickerscamp swag 🤪) ...I'm awarding a prize to the entire community... A CUSTOM 2026 NFL KICKERS POSTER (see attached). If you want a higher res file to print out, just DM me and I can send it to you. I took a little time, consulted ESPN and put together the first of it's kind, the entire NFL kicking line-up for all 32 teams. You'll see a face matched with their age, years experience, height and weight. This is as of today, but given the off season, you can bet there will be some different faces come this Fall! Lots of guys ask me, what's the average size of an NFL kicker. I usually say, "It's me... or it least it was me 40 years ago!" 🤣 AVERAGES: An average NFL kicker is typically about 6'1" tall, weighs 200 lbs, and at his best in his late from 25 to 30. For most college kickers, they'll never actually play in an NFL regular season game, but for those incredible few that make the roster, the average NFL career is just 3.3 years. ROOKIES: Lenny Krieg (NYJ) and Ryan Fitzgerald (CAR) are slated to start in 2026. LONGEST CAREER: Nick Folk (ATL) is still kicking 19 years in the league! YOUNGEST: Cam Little (JAC) is just 22 years old. OLDEST: Nick Folk (ATL) is 41. TALLEST: Harrison Butker (KC) & Charlie Smyth (NO) are 6'4 HEAVIEST: Matt Gay (NV) is 232 lbs. SHORTEST: Cairo Santos (CHI) is only 5/8. LIGHTEST: Jake Elliott (PHI) is just 167 lbs. One of the toughest professions on the planet... there are only 32 jobs in the world as an NFL kicker. I know, I was Mr. 39. 😭

WATCH THIS ROUTINE (turn on the sound) Like you, I knew nothing about this little 8-year old cheerleader, but what she goes through with her dad is something to behold... and as a kicker, I know you've felt just like she did after messing up when the spotlight was on you (and you felt you let your team down). It would have been so easy to simply hug her, let her cry and walk her off the stage. Instead, dad (her coach) helped her reframe the moment, compose herself, and muster up true courage to try again. And what's interesting to me, is that she didn't exactly nail the first trick back (and man does he help)... but she held tight and then gained rapid fire confidence to finish the rest of her stunts — and after, the pride she must have felt to succeed in front of a cheering crowd — beaming. 🤗 FAILURE IS ONLY an outcome that you allow to stand. It only takes the next try to SUCCEED. Which do you choose? How quickly can you regain your composure when something goes bad? THE THREE B's: • Breathe (in through the nose, out through the mouth 3X) • Bounce (move, jump up and down, feel your athleticism return) • Break (clap your hands, say 3,2,1 go!) ....is a quick way to reset and reframe your situation. You can't fix the past. You can prep for what's next. You can "trick" your brain into believing that the stress you're feeling is NOT fear of failure, but the EXCITEMENT to try... so try, try again. 😇 *** One last thing — unlike Lil' Miss Soy Sauce — who had the entire crowd behind her, you will only half of the crowd behind you... which means MAKE or MISS, you will ALWAYS have someone cheering for you! 🤣 Besides, you said you wanted to be the kicker. So truly ENJOY each opportunity. 🏈 "Hey, hey, hey, hey! This is just for fun." 🤪

Sean West - Badger Punter
Sean came to my kicking camp in 2022 and 2023 when he played K & P (and also got playing time at QB and WR) at Homestead High School in Mequon, WI. That's a school of about 1,200 kids with a long tradition of excellence. Sean's a real athlete — played la crosse, too. Sean took lessons from me on his punting and kicking and eventually got a preferred walk-on OFFER from the University of Wisconsin. He spent his first year without an opportunity to play in a game. Just training and getting better while practicing with the team. In his second year, this past Fall, he was the back-up punter to start the season and the #3 kicker. Then, on October 18th (the 7th game of the season), Sean's number was called to be the starting punter against the #1 ranked team in the country, Ohio State — 73,000 fans at Camp Randall. Pressure? You think? 😅 And then, not only does he have a great game punting (despite a thumping loss), he runs a fake punt... not a coach called fake punt — from his end zone — and picks up the first down! Thank goodness! I suspect his punting days might have been taken from him if he didn't make it. 😳 But Sean is a very good athlete and made a tremendous play. • Listen to his post game interview. • Watch his fake punt! • Watch & listen to his 2022 camp evaluation • Watch & listen to his 2023 camp evaluation You may be right where Sean was right now. Are you willing to put in the work that Sean did? Sean's a great guy and will be seeking all three specialist positions this upcoming season (place kicker, kick off specialist & punter)! Think he can do it?

@Jim Gorecki I can't believe that he had a "green light" at the 5 yd line from Fickel. I'll bet he saw nothing but green ahead, but what they didn't prep him for was how quick it can close up due to OSU D-backs coming up in a hurry. Good thing he is an athlete... and that he made the first down. Not sure he would have stayed the punter that game.
First 4-point field goal
A new UFL rule awards 4 points for a 60+ yard field goal. Here is the first one. Do you like this rule and should it be adapted anywhere else?https://www.instagram.com/reel/DWb2TP_kv5m/?igsh=MXYxdjB2cjRqbnplMw==

I asked Gemini how many games would have different outcomes had the NFL adopted that same rule this past season. Here's the answer... Based on the 2025 NFL regular season results, only two games would have had a different outcome (flipping from a loss to a tie or a win) if 60-yard field goals were worth 4 points. During the 2025 season, NFL kickers made a record 12 field goals of 60 yards or longer. While most of these kicks occurred in games with large scoring margins or at the end of the first half, two specific instances would have altered the final result: GAMES with ALTERED OUTCOMES: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXKp_nxtbQ4 - Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Las Vegas Raiders (Nov 2, 2025): Original Outcome: Jaguars won 30–29 in Overtime. Cam Little made a 68-yard field goal. - The NEW Outcome: With the extra point, the Jaguars would have won 31–29 in regulation, avoiding overtime entirely. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkywqUrtJrQ - Indianapolis Colts vs. Seattle Seahawks (Dec 14, 2025): Original Outcome: Seahawks won 18–16. Black Grupe made a 60-yard field goal for the Colts with 40 seconds left in the game. - New Outcome: An additional point would have made the score 17–18 (still a loss at that moment). However, the Seahawks subsequently won on a 56-yard field goal with 11 seconds left. If Grupe's kick had been worth 4 points, the game would have ended in a 19–18 Colts victory or at least forced a different final sequence.
Hello
Hello, my name is Noah Sier, I am a foreign exchange student from Australia attending Lomira high school. I am currently a sophomore but I will be playing my junior year of football at Lomira, I am looking to be the punter for the team but I need some help, I can’t quite get the height and distance I’m looking for. So a friend of mine who’s on this app Aiden Stoffel put me on this app and told me I could get some help with it. I will later make a post with some videos of me punting. I’m really hoping to make a great impact for the football team for the time I am here!

Also, for future reference, try to video your punting more like this (set up a tripod, or get a friend to film it)... as you'll see side view is really good at seeing your whole form.
