Nobody finishes your course. (and what to do about it)
You can build the most beautiful course. ( I've done this ) Record 78 modules. Add worksheets. Film a welcome video with good lighting and everything. And still ... nobody finishes it. This has been true for a minute.... The way we learned growing up didn't work that great. and now... even traditional online learning? Totally getting disrupted. Looking forward to this. I’ve been creating AI assisted offers and it really amplifies learning. Excited for new ideas. I do struggle a bit with people then wanting coaching on AI, and I don’t want to teach AI.
In person retreats
Hi @Dan Harrison and all! I fully get it why you don’t recommend running in person retreats if your business still doesn’t bring 10k recurrent revenue. I recently started my business (coming from academic background) and my community here and I want the core of my business to be the retreats (I run a Relationship Design School after all and it is about experiential learning and immersion). I am investing my own money from my previous business and ready to take a risk. What would be one way to mitigate the risk of not enough people signing up? What paralel projects would you recommend running to raise funds for the retreats? Thank you!

I agree that retreats are just easier once you have a larger audience. But I've had clients fill retreats with a smaller audience through personal invites. Send a personal video invite sharing your excitement and saying that you thought of them and why. It can also help to offer a buy one bring a friend free offer, because then you only have to actually sell half the spots.

On a workshop, then via a sales page. I usually open private calls with me the last couple days for those few people who just really need a personal conversation before they sign up. But as a consumer, I really like Dan's method via chat.
