Professor Jack Taufer
Some videos with Professor @Jack Taufer are in the "Premium member courses" classroom. It was such a privilege for me to learn a few techniques from him. He will be in Michigan at Marshall Judo & Jiu Jitsu for a seminar on May 9th.

Awesome πŸ‘πŸ‘
A great way to practice the pocket knife
In this video Professor James shows a great way to teach students how to practice the pocket knife movement. This movement is often used in side control and north south escapes.

Focus for the week (alignment)
Many of you know that you are at your strongest and quickest when your spine is neutral. Any twist or bend in the spine can weaken your movements. This week, look for ways to misalign your partners spine while keeping yours straight. This is one of the ways less athletic people can even the playing field a bit. Would you ever attempt a max deadlift or squat while trying to turn and look behind yourself? πŸ’€

Please share an "aha moment"
Can you share a technique or concept that you have learned from Professor James that has made a huge impact in your jiu jitsu or your thinking about jiu jitsu? I have 3 that I will share but first I want to hear what others in the group have. Thank you

The idea of little bumping, earthquake movements especially on the bottom to keep your opponent off balanced and making them over commit their movements, great concept πŸ‘πŸ‘
