OI Ronin: He Made $40-50k last year
I'm in the middle of negotiating an AI newsletter. Here's the full thread so far: Him: Hey Evan, thanks for the ping. I never seriously considered it but always thought if the right buyer comes along I just might. What do you have in mind? Me: Appreciate the honest response... and moving this to your private email. Sounds like it hasn't been top of mind for you, which I totally get. I'm pretty new to buying any newsletters, so I want to make sure I don't waste your time. Do you have a ballpark on what would make it worth your while? Totally fine if you need some time to think on it. Him: I don't have a ballpark to be honest. Come to think of it I think it makes sense to have this conversation now actually, so you're not wasting my time. But here are the key facts, let me know if you want to make an offer. The newsletter has ~7k subs and consistently delivers ~40% open rates. Last year I monetized it by selling digital products, courses and lead gen for my freelance dev services, earning about $40-50k in total. This is basically at "maintenance" level activity, I'm not doing much to grow it or properly monetize it, just throwing out offers when I have an idea. He doesn't have a number but he seems to be collaborating. He asked me to make an offer based on laying out the stats. But not sure what a possible don't say price move would look like. What would you do here?
Hidden Asset in CDOD
Have you already gone through Coffee Dates on Demand? If you're weird like me, you've probably watched every video twice 😅 Even so... There's a hidden asset in the training. It requires a little digging. But it might be more valuable than the dozens of positive replies... And handfuls of coffee dates Ronin are getting from tiny lists of 100 prospects. I was sharing this with Ronin smart-guy and good dude @Marcus Karl the other day. I started with the Giving FUN-nel from CDOD... And went out to people in the music niche. I built a great list. Wrote some lovely (I thought) copy. Hit send. Then kicked my feet on my desk as I awaited glorious and automated positive replies. But what I got back... "Not interested" "Your copy looks like it came from TikTok" "You need to change if you want to work with serious businesses." Welp. Not exactly what I wanted to hear. But useful data nonetheless. I went back and tweaked my IBTs (intent-based targeting) Changed my copy. And most importantly... Thought of conversations I had already had with people in my niche. It turns out... I had some data from past conversations with business owners about what they might really really really want. And THAT is what needed to go in my Giving FUN-nel copy. I popped that into smartlead... And off it went. Feet kicked back up... more hesitantly this time awaiting positive replies. Totally different story: "Auction? Sounds interesting." "You're getting committed students? Tell me more." I already HAD the data I needed to dial in my funnel... I just didn't use it because I forgot. Now I OWN a FUN-nel that is dialed in for this niche. Which is an amazing asset to have. But the real HIDDEN asset of CDOD... Is that I now have the knowledge to troubleshoot this process... And create a winning campaign in ANY niche that I want. The process will always be the same... Put out our best guess to get hands raised. Have some conversations.

CDOD - Manus 1/2 Off Tasks
Just a heads up for my CDOD peeps (and anybody else using Manus)...installing the desktop version and working from there reduces task costs by 50% through 3/30. Nice time to double up on potential leads (if you're into that kinda thing).

Big Ticket Email Mojo 3.0 Results
What's up fellow Ronin? Currently, I have two separate email lists. On my main list, I've been using BTEM 2.0 and the triangle of insight for almost 2 years now. My Systeme dot io stats place me in the low risk pool of email senders. I occasionally get an unsubscribe but rarely if ever get a spam complaint. Open rates hover between 60 - 80 percent. Click through rates are usually around 1 - 2 percent. Last year, I added my first community. Collected the emails in Skool but didn't do anything with them. Once I got LOD and SOD late last year and saw the BTEM 3.0 strategy... I exported my Skool list and created a brand new email list in Systeme. Now, I'm writing very short emails BTEM 3.0 style with links to anchor posts inside my community. Open rates aren't quite as high... But click through rates? Between 5 - 8 percent. Systeme placed me in the low risk pool for this second email list too. Bottom line? These style of emails WORK! If you're not using BTEM style emails then you're missing out on building a low risk, highly engaged email list! I don't know if BTEM 3.0 is available still, but if you have a community it's worth adding it to your strategy! BTEM 2.0 should be available to all Ronin. Either one will create wins for your email list building an nurturing strategy!

This is an awesome share Chad. That's a YUGE bump in CTR.
Need your thoughts on this pre-auction post
Crazy thought… What if your community paid your monthly bills… Without posting every day Without chasing clients Without running a big funnel. Over the past few months I’ve been quietly setting up partner deals with brands and offers that want access to my audiences across: • FB groups • Subreddits • Skool communities These deals run quietly in the background while I work on other things. No constant hustle required. Now I’m thinking about doing something kinda fun. Jump on a Zoom call with ONE person… Share my screen… And show you exactly how I set these up: • How I find partners • How the deals work • How they keep running without becoming another job 💡 Idea… If I opened ONE SPOT And did it 👉 AUCTION STYLE 👈 Starting at $1 Would you bid at least $1? Drop a 👍 if you would. And tell me… What would you most want to see on that call? ====================================== I think it's too long for a pre-auction post. Am I explaining too much? Any other thoughts?
