@Gunny Khan Thanks, Gunny. The test she had last month didn't show the result we were afraid it might, so that's good news.

@James Milson Thanks, James! So far it is.

:who what where when HOW WHY POST3 WHY=WHY NOT You may have heard the old urban legion story about the philosophy professor’s final exam who had a one word test : At the top of the exam was the word, Why? The story tells how one student got an A for simply writing Why not. WHY My foray into this community was driven by a burning desire to find a way out of the quagmire that is the present fashion goo. Let me back up a little. After leaving the Trust Department in 2012 that I had created at the bank 10 years earlier, the freedom to dress much more casually after my departure was at first a bit of a relief. However, as everything-everywhere devolved into a clothing universe that was too casual, too unstructured, too tight, too short, too disproportioned (suit and sport coats) too low on one’s hips (jean-cut dress trousers instead of normal waist high trousers), I and I presume several guys of my vintage began to wonder what should we be wearing these days. Moreover, younger guys that had no point of reference because there are so few professional clothiers left in business were exposed to the algorithmetic disingenuous sycophant Borg known as the internet -which is perpetually feeding poor advice to any guy who continuously keeps clicking. Enter @Antonio Centeno . The appeal to me of Antonio was that he seemed to be a down to earth guy who has such an approachable personality and he was giving guys an alternative view that was well reasoned out and supported by data. Let me explain that a different way by showing three guys many of you will be aware of: Antonio Centeno of Real Men Real Style, Aaron Marino of Alpha Male and Sven Raphael Schneider of Gentlemen’s Gazzette The three friends represent a broad variety along the spectrum of style. 1.) S Raphael, I would characterizes as more nostalgic and structured. His immense knowledge of clothing firms and various tailoring houses worldwide is quite impressive. He is very matter of fact about what one should wear based upon long established conventions.

Fantastic post, Brian! Those are indeed style icons of YouTube. Bonus points for not one, but two pictures of Steve McQueen, and the Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta.

@Brian McGuire He was another one of those men who made it look effortless. Movie-star money helped, of course. 😆
First elevated casual with shorts
This is my attire today for a short trip outdoors: I would have never ever imagined such a look even three months back. Thanks to RMRS, life is happening! 1. Forest green Polo (Louis Philippe). I like the little white line detail 2. Navy blue chino shorts (local brand) 3. Cognac belt 4. Brown leather strap watch (I am not a big fan of watches, so this will be common across my attires) 5. Grey-brown suede loafers (local make) I think the tucked in polo with a belt adds to the elevated casual look. Let me know your thoughts gentlemen.

Fantastic casual shorts look, Srini! Everything is on point, the polo, length of shorts, the tuck. The piping on the polo adds a nice touch, and the the ribbed cuffs hugging the arms makes for a much better look. I sort of agree with @Alex Kilpatrick about the shoes vs. belt, but that's a minor nit-pick. Also, watch straps can be swapped out to match your other leathers fairly easily with the right tools if you only have one watch.
The Authority of A Gentleman
Good afternoon gentlemen, One of the hardest aspects of being gentlemen is the ability to gain and maintain authority. For some it can come easily, and for others it seems like a daunting task. Whether it’s comes easily or with hesitation, there are some pointers to not just help you understand, gain and maintain authority as a gentleman. Most people think authority comes from titles, status, or power, but the truth is simpler and most people miss it. Authority begins the moment you control how you show up; not louder, not aggressive, just calm, clear, and certain. Here are some pointers that may help you. 1. Stop over explaining yourself speak clearly, then pause. 2.Slow down your speech; remain calm, pacing signals control. 1. Hold eye contact slightly longer when engaging in initial conversation, and throughout the conversation. 2. Remove unnecessary apologies don’t shrink yourself with excuses. No can be a sentence when asked a question. 3. Be comfortable with silence; silence is not weakness but control, you can control to pace and flow of a conversation. 4. Speak with intention; authority is not given; it is felt, people follow certainty not noise.

@Jeffrey Plotka Definitely. If you have to shout your authority, you're doing it wrong. The only exception I can think of is military basic training. There, it's expected.
Update 3 and it finally good news
Surgery Done, 24 hours minimum hospital supervision now, but more like 48 needed. I have a small drain in the area of my groin to remove any fluid that may build up, they also want to keep an eye on my pain levels and any reactions I might have, plus Still slightly medicated after the surgery 😷 Thankyou all for the prayers, thoughts and well wishes. You are all such phenomenal men within these groups.

Billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. Oh, wait, that's Tony Stark. I'm just a working man trying to learn all he can on how to be stylish on a budget.
