Most people think authority comes from titles, status, or power, but the truth is simpler and most people miss it. Authority begins the moment you control how you show up; not louder, not aggressive, just calm,clear, and certain. Here are some pointers that may help you. 1. Stop over explaining yourself speak clearly, then pause. 2.Slow down your speech; remain calm, pacing signals control. 1. Hold eye contact slightly longer when engaging in initial conversation, and throughout the conversation. 2. Remove unnecessary apologies don’t shrink yourself with excuses. No can be a sentence when asked a question. 3. Be comfortable with silence; silence is not weakness but control, you can control to pace and flow of a conversation. 4. Speak with intention; authority is not given; it is felt, people follow certainty not noise.
