Liquid/ Soft food Diet for one week.
I’m having a dental procedure tomorrow. Anyone have any recommendations on how to maintain protein goals on a liquid diet for two days and soft foods for 4-5 days?
First official check in next Monday 4/13
Want to make sure you guys get at least a full week in before we begin the check-ins. Hope you had a good first couple of days and a happy Easter for those who celebrate. When we do check ins, I will share the instructions and form via email as well as on Skool so you can't miss it. For now, let's use this thread as your "unofficial check-in" for the week. How's everybody been doing?

Still dialing in my nutrition, definitely finding adding a lot of greens/ salad to my proteins helps me stay full for longer. It’s hard to get nearly 200g of protein a day without just over eating. But I’ve realized my original caloric goal was too low so I raised it up a bit. Feeling more and I feel like I have enough energy to keep up with my workouts. Exercise is feeling good. I feel like my body really enjoys movement but being super sore is debilitating. So just to cut back the intensity a bit until I can adjust more/ get a bit stronger. Overall feeling good. Went to a bday party on Saturday and had a salad, water, and a cold brew. Didn’t feel like I was missing out and stayed strong to not give in on dessert. I’m planning on eating a piece of cake in May for my 40th bday. I need to drink more water. Trying to just stay as consistent as possible.
🏓 Quick Roll Call – What Paddle Are You Playing With?
Trying to see what everyone’s rocking in this Reset60 challenge… Drop your setup below 👇 • Paddle • Why you chose it (power, control, spin?) • Would you buy it again or switch? I’m always curious what people actually like vs what’s just hype. Also be honest… did you pick it because it felt right, or because someone said it would fix your game? 😅 Let’s compare notes… I have the Friday Fever 102. I bought it cause it seemed to have really great gritty face (I spin a lot) I like it. I thought they were super popular but I haven’t seen anyone with them… (I don’t need anyone else to play with it of course) but since I am brand new at pickleball am I missing something?

I’m always switching it up. Lol Joola Perseus Pro V 16mm, Joola Kosmos Pro V 16mm, Boomstick elongated, Honolulu J2CR (waiting on my new one with the better grit), and I had a bread and butter Loco but sold it.
Non Scale Victories are key!
Some of us are bound by the scale and need to break free. There are many ways to guage success in this journey. In this forest little bit I noticed I have less inflamation. I will excited to measure my A1C at the end of this challenge. Of course I want to lost weight, but other factors are important too! Reframing Success: Habits Over Numbers" focusing on non-scale victories (NSVs) like increased energy, better sleep, or improved clothing fit. This approach, reduces anxiety and encourages sustainable, long-term lifestyle changes rather than quick fixes. I will be 58 on Wednesday, this challenge is a nice birthday gift to myself. My sister gifted me a new necklace yesterday. It is the pickelball paddle in the photo. I love it! Have a great Monday! Be good to yourself.

Love this Tara. You’re 100% right. It’s taken me so long to realize that feeling better, improving everyday, waking up without pain, etc… those are all part of my goals more than just my weight. I know a lot of my problems stem from my weight but losing weight does not happen overnight and I’m 100% focused on small victories and consistency in my diet and exercise. We got this! Also Happy Birthday!

I’m just a dude trying to play pickleball and not get hurt. Born and raised in Austin. I work in software, I play drums, and I used to throw axes.
