Logic Session Players use of Plugins
I was just noticing Logic automatically assigns a myriad of plugins to their session players. For example: Session Bass uses 9 plugins. Seems like a lot to me. Right? The one I use often is Session Drummer. When you use the producer packs the tracks are separated which is what I want so a drum kit is around 14-16 instruments plus rooms plus sub groups plus fx returns. In total it's about 24 tracks. No problem with the tracks but the plugins? 46! Wow! Am I wrong? And the routing? 32 sends! I mean it sounds okay but creates a chore for me. I have no trust of other people making that many decisions for me. I have to touch it all and evaluate it. Brings to mind another thread where a user was having CPU issues with Logic. Session players were my first thought. I have noticed things play fine unless and until you flip the widget to display all the individual tracks and / or try to edit midi if you have converted to midi which I eventually always do. The work around is to only make edits while the drums are in solo when the whole mix won't play without CPU problems. My ultimate workaround is to use a laptop as a midi player and offload the entire task to a 2nd computer. I bring the audio back via Danté using Danté Virtual Soundcard.

THE BIG SURPRISE OPENING TO THE 2026 JUNOS AWARDS IN CANADA

saw Anika twice before with Jeff Beck. Montreux Jazz Festival July 2022 and in December of that year at the Orpheum in LA a few weeks before his death. Fantastic drummer. A real standout. (Unlike that hack, Johnny Depp, that shared the stage in Beck’s final year. ) I will always miss Neal Pert though. I think they could have selected a better song from their catalog though. Poor Geddy trying to replicate those vocals at his age!

UPDATE: Check the comments for great solutions! -- Izotope RX has excellent repair features, the one I really need is de-click, but the price is really high for the necessary version (around 500 bucks). Does anybody know of an affordable alternative? How do you solve this problem when you have too many clicks and need to remove them? Also: any tips for reducing mouth noises when recording? I recorded very close to my SM58 (with a pop filter) because the closeness gave me the sound I preferred. Should I hydrate more? Or less? :D

@Filipe Pereira I did find a free tool that does allow one to edit audio with spectral editing. Check it out. https://youtu.be/hxcl7-PXtzw?si=d3vhAgl0oaXTQE-V

@Filipe Pereira makes it a lot easier to detect them quickly when you can see the spectrum.
Low Mids messing up my masters 😭
Hey guys! Recently I've been trying to figure out how to balance low mids without reducing it unnecessarily or having too much. I find that's been my huge issue with mastering, any tips in terms of tonal balance or the frequency range balance between frequency ranges?

What is the genre and instrumentation?
Reverb plugins - which are your favourites?
I'm aware this could easily become a huge discussion, as there are many types of reverbs and many plugins for each type. I'm referring to the cheat sheet, so my main focus at the moment is 1. ambience 2. room tone. Which do you use for each? At the moment, I'm testing Cubase's REVelation for ambience and Exoverb (Dear Reality) for room tone.

I am a fan of UA’s Lexicon 224 and 480. I also use Eventide Black Hole from time to time. UA Sound City I find useful as well.
