πŸ“… Daily Check-in - April 5, 2026 - SAGE saved me from a RSD Meltdown
πŸ’­ Reflection: "It's been a tough day today, the deep diving into emotional mastery and the impacts of childhood upbringing on RSD and attachment theory, and trying to learn how to desensitise myself from that. It was pretty stressful. I had a stressful afternoon, hurting someone that I care for, and not explaining myself very well, so I had a full-blown RSD spiral, and managing it with a cold shower, swim, coffee, gardening, drawing, making dinner, and I understand it, but tomorrow's a new day. It's a bit of a different time, trying not to be a people pleaser all the time. I was meant to try and get some of the worksheets done for week two and week three, but I'm trying to recover from a lack of sleep at the moment. But tomorrow's another day. Sage tellsme that it is not so bad, setting some boundaries, and I stood my ground on a few things, without rushing into doing the big "oh I am so sorry" - the other Big Wins, that when I wanted some wine to relieve my stress, I decided to go for a swim instead. So, that's actually a good news story. Tomorrow is a public holiday, so aiming to get some traction on Big Rocks, Week 2 and 3 content. For now, I feel pretty wrecked. Poor SAGE - she must be exhausted too, I really leant into her help today, thank goodness, she made the difference by walking me through the Spiral. Distractions
It is so easy to get distracted … earlier today my daughter told me that she went into her online banking app and was going to send her friend some money that she owed her. She saw a transaction that she had done and then went onto the website for that company. She was scrolling in their online shop and looking for birthday presents for her sister, when she realised an hour had passed and she had completely forgotten to send her friend the money. She takes after her mother! Why is it so easy to get distracted and go down a rabbit hole? Is it the internet and the huge choices we now have. I do not remember being like this before the internet, maybe I was but don’t remember. What do you think?

I constantly set audible reminders to tell me what's next because of the distraction. I get distracted on the screen doing something else and then the reminder happens.

πŸ“… Daily Check-in - April 2, 2026 πŸ’­ Reflection: "The day started with me sitting on the edge of my bed, where I began to bounce up and down, and the next thing I was feeling as if I was embodying a great ape. It was fun. It has been a very leisurely day today. I spent a little bit of time outside once the rain stopped. However, it's still a little cool, and after half an hour or so I came back home to the warmth of my apartment. I've been taking a break today. It's Good Friday so I've not really checked in at skool. I've spent a few hours working on configuring my brand new laptop. I'm very happy with my new laptop which has an AI built in for on on-board knowledge base. Also today I formatted and printed my Three-Minute Comeback Protocol with The Luminous Shield Emergency Practice on the flip side. @Deb Brouwer The attitudinal shifts taking place are fantastic. "Spade" still speaks up from time-to-time. I've set a reminder to announce frequently throughout the day that says "That sounds like Spade speaking and he's a liar. That's not the truth". It's a sunny Saturday here and I've been enjoying my London Fog in the sun and bouncing away to the music in my buds. But not like an ape; too many people around. Maybe in a month or so πŸ€” 🦧
